Problem Identified: Green and James noticed seventh grade students really benefitted when they computers to explore new and exciting science topics.

Hypothesis: Green and James hypothesized that If students use technology tools like Nearpod or Edmodo to introduce new science topics to students, then the will have increased ability to master their learning outcomes as measured by mastery checks, student work projects, and exit slips.

Data Collection: Here’s how to use this tech tool tomorrow:

• Get a computer.

• Sign up for an account on Nearpod or Edmodo.

• Watch Youtube tutorials to help you learn all the features.

• Begin and explore the tools available.

Overall Findings/Impact: Overall, Edmodo can be a great tool in letting students gain background knowledge before diving projects and labs. Edmodo also allows all students multiple avenues to access new content and gain the necessary background information to move into harder and more advance topics. We found Nearpod to be a little more limiting since students all need to follow the lesson together as a class.
