Problem Identified: We wanted to give students an opportunity to engage with vocabulary words in a fun way.
Hypothesis: If students engage with vocabulary words in a fun way then they will use those words more readily as measured by vocabulary usage in their pieces.
Data Collection: Students were given this option when finished classwork early or done with the editing process. We found students did not have the time to interact with the tech.
Actionable Step: It was easy to create. Teachers need to leave time in class before or at the end for students to take the quizzes.
Overall Findings/Impact: This was unsuccessful because we realized we need to leave dedicated class time to use the app. With only 4 class periods a week and days off, it was hard to negotiate time to use the app versus writing time and instruction.
