Problem Identified: Students weren’t engaged enough in completing homework.
Hypothesis:
If students and parents have an easy way to track and complete homework, then students will be more engaged in completing their HW as measured by a percentage increase in HW completion from the spreadsheet data compiled from Google Forms.
Data Collection:
Create a spreadsheet that tracks which HW has been completed, and by who. Then compare the completion rates before and after the spreadsheet was made available to the students and parents.

Actionable Step:
Create HW’s via Google Forms. Then create a master spreadsheet that pulls in all of the Google Forms data. Create another spreadsheet that is student-facing for the students and parents (this spreadsheet will use randomly created ID’s for the students).
Overall Findings/Impact:
This inquiry has shown that when students and parents have an easy to access place to show what homework is outstanding, there is an increase in homework completion. We’ve discovered that when HW is made available on an ongoing basis (online), students will go back and complete it. What we would like to now improve is our current on-time completion for HW.
